How We Work

How Our CSA Works

Many CSAs offer shares only during the summer— Mount Wolfe Farm provides May – December.

Secondly, our pickups are market-style. In other words, you get to choose your produce from the week’s harvest.

And finally, through our network of producers, you’ll get delicious foodstuffs like maple syrup, bread, organic eggs, preserves & much more.

Commitment

Mount Wolfe Farm CSA members pay at the onset of the growing season or by installments for a share of the anticipated harvest.

Pickups

Members receive shares of produce and local products weekly during the summer/fall season and every 2 weeks during the winter season.

Perks

Members of the MWF CSA get access to a beautiful on-farm experience during summer & fall pickups, inclusion in a warm and supportive community, the opportunity to volunteer alongside our field crew, invitations to farm events, as well as special pricing on workshops.

Benefits to the Community

By becoming a member of Mount Wolfe Farm CSA, you are helping build a stronger community—both economically and environmentally. How? You are supporting local producers and keeping money in our community.

And by owning a share in a farm that prioritizes the health of the land, you are directly contributing to more ecologically responsible agriculture. Healthy soil, clean water, and thriving community and wildlife are at the heart of why we farm.

Benefits to Your household

A Mount Wolfe Farm CSA share represents a small portion of the average Ontario household food budget—roughly 30%. And consider the non-financial aspects: as a member, you know where your food comes from, you can even help grow it and you’ll be feeding your family chemical-free food. And you will likely be introduced to new vegetables!
